American Traveler is hiring a Neuro Med/Surg RN for a night shift contract requiring an active IL RN license and at least three years of relevant nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Neuro Med/Surg unit (8C) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week across 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Weekend and holiday shifts required on a rotating basis
• May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
• Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

• Serve as the primary caregiver for an assigned group of patients, utilizing the nursing process to deliver individualized care
• Complete initial patient assessments and develop care plans based on patient and family needs
• Implement and modify care plans through continuous evaluation of patient status
• Report and correct safety hazards to maintain patient and staff safety
• Provide constructive feedback to peers and engage in ongoing professional development
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 total days per 13-week contract
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
