American Traveler is hiring a Staff RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and at least 2 years of nursing experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Emergency Department setting
• Day shift schedule from 7AM-7PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Associate degree in nursing required, Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills required
• Ability to make independent decisions and manage multiple priorities

Additional Information

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care using the nursing process
• Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately
• Implement physician orders and notify physicians of pertinent patient status changes
• Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available and report malfunctions appropriately
• Maintain thorough, concise, and accurate nursing documentation
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care team members
• Requires medium physical work, including exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally
