American Traveler is seeking an Assessment Specialist RN for a Behavioral Health Intake position requiring an active RN license (Standard or Compact) and prior psychiatric care experience.

• .Works in the Behavioral Health Intake department of a psychiatric facility with 77 beds
• Serves an adult psychiatric patient population
• Multiple shift options available including 7p-7:30a, 3p-11:30p, 7a-7:30p, and 9p-5:30a
• Weekend shifts required as part of scheduled rotation
• 36-40 scheduled hours per week
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) required
• Handle With Care (HWC) training required, completed on-site if needed
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred
• Direct experience with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, and psychiatric patients preferred

Additional Information

• Conducts behavioral health assessments and intake evaluations for adult psychiatric patients
• Business casual dress code required; scrubs of any color are acceptable

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
