American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an SSSU/PACU position requiring 2+ years of experience and floating across multiple outpatient services areas.

Details

• Position covers SSSU/PACU nursing within an Outpatient Services setting
• Duties span Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and Pre-operative Clinic
• Provides care for conscious sedation during special procedures
• Schedule consists of 4x10-hour day shifts with a variable schedule
• Shared on-call rotation required
• Floating to all Outpatient Services areas required

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current PALS certification required
• Strong Pre-op, PACU, and Phase II recovery skills required
• Skilled in peri-operative nursing assessment and education
• Able to recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across multiple outpatient service areas
• Perform peri-operative patient education alongside clinical care
• Monitor and manage conscious sedation for patients undergoing special procedures
• Assess and respond to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications
