American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a permanent MA RN license and 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Primarily medical ICU patient population
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• Requires flexibility to start up to 4 hours before or after scheduled start time based on critical department need
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Float requirement to the Extended Care Unit
• Scheduling based on unit needs with no block scheduling accommodations
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active permanent MA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients
• Must pass a Pass/Fail Tele test during orientation with an 80% passing score and only one attempt allowed
• Must also complete a Pass/Fail medication exam during orientation
• Pre-start and orientation modules required, along with annual completion
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
• Local candidates accepted within a 200-mile radius at the same bill rate
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed in the first week
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
