American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA RN license and at least 1 year of ER experience.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Facility is a STEMI Certified and Stroke Certified facility
• Approximately 135 visits per day with 20 rooms and 26 beds
• Average daily census of 105 patients
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:00-06:00
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend requirement of 3 out of every 6 weekends
• Floating required to the Observation Unit for ER Hold patients
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS
• Preferred certification: ENPC
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with 1:4 patient ratios
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience treating a range of emergency conditions including trauma, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric presentations

Additional Information

• Candidates may wear their own scrubs as long as they are solid colored with no prints
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; local candidates within this radius may be accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• RTO requests should be kept to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront to avoid delays
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Two supervisory references are required, covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
