American Traveler is hiring a Step Down/PCU RN with CA licensure and at least 1 year of Medical/Surgical Stepdown experience for a rotating day/night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in an 8-bed Med/Surg Telemetry (MST) overflow Step Down/PCU unit
• Provides cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
• Shift options include Day (3x12, 7:00-19:30) or Night (3x12, 19:00-7:30) on a rotating basis
• Rotating weekend coverage required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical Stepdown experience required
• Nursys report uploaded within the last 2 weeks reflecting valid CA license required
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required

Additional Information

• Deliver patient- and family-centered nursing care addressing both potential and actual health issues
• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response as part of daily unit responsibilities
• Local candidates accepted at the local rate
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius for the travel rate
• Returning employees/travelers must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Observed holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Holiday periods run from 7:00 PM the night before through 7:00 AM the day after the holiday
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
