American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Special Newborn Nursery position requiring NICU Level II experience and an AZ or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Special Newborn Nursery (Level II SCN) of an acute care hospital designated as a Level 3 trauma center
• Unit has 8 Level II SCN beds and supports approximately 800 births per year
• 24/7 NNP and Neonatology coverage available on the unit
• Uses Allscripts as the charting system/EMR
• 12-hour night shift schedule with shift times of 0600-1830 or 1800-0630
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Cancellation policy allows up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and STABLE
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• 2+ years of SCN/NICU Level II experience preferred
• BSN not required for this position

Additional Information

• Provide specialized nursing care to newborns in a Level II Special Care Nursery setting
• Collaborate with 24/7 available NNP and Neonatology teams for patient care support
• 8-hour orientation provided at the start of the assignment
