American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring 1 year of multimodality lab experience and an active NJ or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a multimodality Cath Lab setting providing diagnostic and interventional cardiac, endovascular, and interventional radiology services
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call requirements include 5 weekday call shifts (6:00 PM-7:00 AM) and 2 weekend 24-hour call shifts
• Performs adult diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations including left/right heart caths, PCI, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and pulmonary embolization
• Utilizes monitoring techniques including ETCO2, ACT, procedural sedation, RASS, Swan-Ganz monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, 12-lead EKG, and cardioversion
• Performs vascular procedures including sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems, topical hemostasis, and PICC care/maintenance
• Administers medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, and thrombolytics
• Epic charting system required; Philips system also used
• Required to float within skillset without exception

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCI RCIS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience in a multimodality lab with Cath Lab, Endovascular, and/or Interventional Radiology preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required

• Work in Centrastate's 9,300-square-foot, three-room multimodality lab which is ACC Cardiac Cath Lab Accredited with PCI
• Facility is part of a 284-bed community teaching hospital and has earned ACC HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence
• Must be fully vaccinated including COVID booster
• Scrubs are hospital provided
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted with the initial offer as post-offer requests are unlikely to be approved
