American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Wound/Ostomy Care position requiring an active RN license (Standard or Compact) and prior wound care experience.

Details

• Work in the Wound Care unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule (5x8 hours), 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Floating required to other units, including other facilities within a 75-mile radius
• 12-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required; wound/ostomy care certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Skilled in wound treatments and dressings including alginates, hydrocolloids, hydrogels, foams, and vacuum-assisted closure
• Experience with wound/ulcer assessment and management including pressure, venous, arterial, and neuropathic ulcers
• Experience with ostomy/colostomy/ileostomy management and care
• Proficient in ulcer risk assessment tools including the Braden scale
• Current DL or state-issued ID and a utility bill matching the traveler's address dated within the last three months are required for consideration
• Address must reflect a permanent residence greater than 75 miles from the facility
• Two supervisory references required for consideration
• Any work history gaps of 3 months or more must include an explanation

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence care including dressing changes, debridement, and wound vac management
• Perform ulcer risk assessments and implement prevention strategies for adult and pediatric patients
• Manage patient/family teaching related to catheter care, ostomy equipment selection, and skin integrity
• Support infection control practices and isolation precautions
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO accepted
• No block scheduling requests allowed
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates within this radius are not eligible
• Previous INTEGRIS employees must have a minimum of 1 year separation from employment to be eligible for this assignment
