American Traveler is hiring an RN - Home Health with active CA licensure and 2+ years of home health experience for a day-shift assignment.

Details

• Home health setting providing in-home nursing care to adult patients
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• On-call responsibilities of 1 day per month
• Potential floating to Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced counties
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of home health nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in phlebotomy, IV management, and care of peripheral IVs/central lines/ports
• Experience with wound care and pressure ulcer management
• Experience with medication administration across multiple routes (IM, IV, subcutaneous, intradermal)
• Experience with catheter insertion and management
• Competent in OASIS documentation and clinical assessment

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of in-home nursing care
• Provides direct patient care, patient/family education, and coordination of care transitions
• Delivers holistic, individualized care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
• Develops and manages interdisciplinary plans of care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Returning staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday will be approved for RTO during the assignment
