American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring two years of recent telemetry experience and Level 1 Trauma background.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Holiday coverage required if needed
• Floating to other telemetry floors required as needed
• Uses Cerner and Epic charting systems

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (via AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of recent consecutive telemetry experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Degree must be from an accredited school or an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON)
• Skilled in managing drips, peripheral central line care/management, and interpreting dysrhythmias
• Cerner and Epic EMR experience required
• Must successfully complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing drips, peripheral central line care, and interpreting dysrhythmias for telemetry patients
• Facility is a smoke-free environment
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a lower rate
• Permanent employees must be separated from the facility for one year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale Schools are not accepted
• Pass/fail EKG testing is required as part of clinical competency assessment
