American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Telemetry night shift position requiring 1 year of experience and GA or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Telemetry unit with 16 beds and an average daily census of 16
• Cares for adult to geriatric patients with conditions including post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Utilizes Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Required Epic charting system experience
• Skilled in telemetry monitoring, EKG interpretation, and Doppler use
• Experience with cardiac drips (no titration) and vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Experience managing arrhythmias and interpreting dysrhythmias
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response with rapid response/code teams as needed
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized prior to assignment start
• RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Holiday coverage required based on how many major holidays fall within the assignment period
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous Piedmont employees (Perm/Per Diem/FCSS) must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
