American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a CCU night shift position requiring critical care experience, trauma and neuro background, and FL or compact RN license.

Details

• CCU (Critical Care Unit) setting caring for acute and chronically ill patients
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating as needed
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 3 years of recent critical care experience with acute/chronically ill patients
• Trauma and Neuro ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Charge RN and Neuro ICU experience preferred
• Degree required from an accredited nursing school or FBON-approved institution
• Candidates with non-accredited degrees must have 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Must pass a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review
• Must achieve a passing score on a basic arrhythmia/EKG assessment

• Provide critical care nursing to acute and chronically ill ICU patients

• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius considered at a lower pay rate
• Former Broward Health permanent employees must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale schools are not accepted
