American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications along with an Oregon RN license.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, 1900-0730
• 13-week contract length
• Care for patients of varying acuity levels, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies
• Perform triage, patient assessment, and emergency procedures such as wound care and splinting
• Documentation completed via electronic health records (EHR)
• Floating to other qualified departments required before core staff is floated

Requirements

• Active RN license in the State of Oregon
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum two years of RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• BSN preferred
• Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to work under pressure in high-stress emergency situations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs
• Capable of continuous walking and standing during long shifts

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient-centered emergency care including assessment, triage, medication administration, and monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare team members to deliver rapid, coordinated care
• Respond to rapid response calls and code blue situations as needed
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and follow-up care
• Follow infection control protocols to minimize risk to patients and staff
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
• CRASE training required if assignment extends beyond 6 months
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays due to 24/7 department operations
• Work environment may involve exposure to infectious materials, hazardous equipment, and occasionally combative patients
