American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a rotating shift schedule requiring an active PA or Compact RN license and Cerner experience preferred.

Details

• Work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting
• Rotating schedule with Day (3x12, 7:00-19:30) and Night (3x12, 19:00-7:30) shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
• Every other holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Experience with IV therapy, central/arterial line management, PICC lines, and blood product administration
• Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory care including HFNC and BiPAP/CPAP
• Experience managing patients with CRRT/CVVHD, ECMO, and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Swan-Ganz)
• Proficiency in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and administering continuous sedation/paralytics
• Neurological critical care skills including EVD, ICP monitoring, and post-craniotomy/neurosurgery management
• Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Two supervisor references preferred
• SSN, DOB, and RTO required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive critical care to ICU patients including respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, renal, and GI cases
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
• Former permanent employees are not eligible to return as travelers
• Travel pairs may be accommodated based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
• Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24–48 hours of signing
• All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start
