American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience, 2 years of travel experience, and a compact or Oklahoma RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required, BSN or MSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to a variety of Labor & Delivery patients ranging from simple to complex health needs
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents responses to nursing interventions
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administers medications and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge information
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Facility maintains strict compliance deadlines and requires travelers to be booked at least 4 weeks from offer
• Returning workers may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
