American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN requiring an active MN RN license and 2+ years of NICU experience with high-acuity ventilation management.

Details

• Work in Special Care Nursery (SCN), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Infant Care Center (ICC) settings across a multi-hospital system
• Care for a patient population including critically ill newborns, pre-term infants, and the ELBW (extremely low birth weight) population
• Provide pre and post-operative care for critically ill newborns, including those with tracheostomies
• Manage assisted ventilation including high frequency ventilators (JET and Oscillator), conventional vents, and non-invasive methods such as bubble CPAP, RAM cannula, and HFNC
• Willing to float between three hospital locations within the system as needed

Requirements

• Active MN RN license or MN Temporary Permit-RN required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Strong knowledge of developmental care expected
• Experience caring for infants requiring high frequency and conventional ventilation, as well as non-invasive respiratory support

Additional Information

• Coordinate and provide family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents utilizing the nursing process
• Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other members of the health care team
