American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a New Mexico or Compact RN license and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Work in the Post Surgical PACU unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 4, 10-hour rotating shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Weekend requirement of 2 weekends per month, working 12-hour shifts (Sat/Sun counts as one weekend)
• On-call requirement of one night per week
• Floating required to other units within surgical services
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active New Mexico RN license or current Compact state RN license
• Current BLS certification via AHA required
• Current ACLS certification via AHA required
• Current PALS certification via AHA required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

Additional Information

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established nursing standards
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
• Dress code requires graphite gray scrubs
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Candidates who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility in a non-travel capacity must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for this travel assignment
