American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Obstetrics Acute unit position requiring CA RN licensure and specialized certifications including NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., and Fetal Heart Monitoring.

Details

• Work in the Obstetrics Acute unit of a full-service community and regional teaching hospital
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 or 48-hour shift options available

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• BLS certification required (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS)
• NRP certification required (AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
• ACLS certification required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS)
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
• Minimum two years of experience in specialty required
• Recent experience in submitted specialty within the last three months required

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
• Coordinate care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care plans
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, healing care
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Provide health education to patients, families, and treatment team members
• Required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available
• Local candidates accepted with no radius rule, local rates same as travel rates
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined
