American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cath Lab Holding position requiring 2+ years of critical care or ED experience and current VA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab Holding unit within a hospital cardiovascular department
• Care for patients before and after minimally invasive cardiac procedures
• Patient population includes those undergoing coronary angioplasty, coronary stent placement, IABP, Impella device management, and EP studies/implants
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, with shifts varying between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
• 40 hours per week, weekdays only with no weekends or on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent relevant experience in Critical Care (ICU) or Emergency Department required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Proficiency in Epic charting system required
• Critical care exposure with cardiac patients required
• Experience with cardiac medications and vasoactive drips preferred
• Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, Pre/Post Procedure Recovery, or Cardiac Rehabilitation preferred

Additional Information

• Provide pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac patients undergoing minimally invasive cardiac interventions
• Manage cardiac medications, vasoactive drips, and monitor for dysrhythmias
• Perform sheath removal and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Longer assignment extensions through January 9, 2027 are available but not required
• Must work two of the three winter holidays
• Candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility to be considered for this travel position
• EKG testing required prior to start, requiring an 80% passing score with no remediation opportunity
• 3 hours of pre-start modules required
• Candidates with any prior license or background check issues will not be considered
• Facility cannot accommodate PAPR fit testing accommodations
