American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and a compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Short term acute care hospital setting on a MS/Tele unit
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating between units and sister facilities required based on skill set
• No on-call requirements
• 48-hour work weeks approved
• Epic EMR used, experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license, compact license must be in hand at submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac drip management, telemetry monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with respiratory care including HFNC, nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care/management
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and continuous bladder irrigation
• Must have a vehicle for this assignment
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to medical/surgical and telemetry patients including early mobilization and CHG bathing
• Skilled in surgical drain management and plastics-related care
• Travelers may float to sister facilities in nearby communities, with additional incentives offered for floating to certain locations
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
• Any color scrubs accepted for this unit
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• First-time travelers will be screened for consideration
