Description

American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a 2nd shift psychiatric hospital position requiring a CT or compact RN license and at least 1 year of behavioral health experience.

Details

• Behavioral Health unit within a psychiatric hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7 depending on acuity
• Uses Meditech charting system
• 2nd shift schedule totaling 36 hours per week
• Three 8-hour evening shifts (3:00 PM-11:30 PM) Monday through Friday
• One 12-hour shift every other weekend (7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• No weekday on-call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• De-escalation certification preferred, with training available if not already certified
• Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health/Psychiatry experience required
• Recent LTC, SNF, or Assisted Living experience required
• Standard RN equipment proficiency

• Provide direct nursing care to behavioral health patients in a hospital setting

• Housing may be available for candidates if applicable
• Every other weekend coverage is required as part of the rotating schedule
