American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a night shift inpatient psychiatric unit requiring an active NV RN license and at least 1 year of inpatient behavioral health experience.

Details

• Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit on the 3rd floor with 16 beds
• Adult patient population with diagnoses including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, personality disorders, and dual diagnosis
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses vitals machine, EMAR, and Omnicell equipment
• Charts in Med Host EHR
• 12-hour night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to other departments may be required

Requirements

• Active RN license required, must hold active NV license at time of submittal
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required within 60 days of start date
• PALS certification required within 90 days of start date
• Handle with Care certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Behavioral Health experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients with acute mental health and psychiatric conditions on an inpatient unit
• Scrubs required, non-specific color
• On-site fit testing offered to travelers
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
