American Traveler is seeking an experienced Assessment Specialist RN for a Behavioral Health Intake position in Highland Hills, OH, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and Handle With Care (HWC) certification.

Details

• Work setting is an inpatient behavioral health facility with a dedicated intake unit
• 24-bed unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Adult patient population ranging from ages 18–99
• Common diagnoses and treatments include detox, depression, and psychosis
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (7P–7A)
• Weekend hours are required
• No on-call requirements
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Ability to recognize and respect mental health as a clinical illness
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Conduct behavioral health intake assessments for adult patients presenting with conditions such as detox, depression, and psychosis
• Ideal candidate is compassionate about mental health, unbothered by challenging patient interactions, and proactive during slower periods
• Scrub color: navy blue; business casual attire is also acceptable — hoodies are not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
