American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring an active NY RN license and prior successful travel assignment experience.

Details

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
• 12-hour day shifts scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 3 shifts per week over a 13-week assignment
• Weekend, holiday, and call coverage required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Current critical care experience preferred
• Must have completed at least one successful prior travel nursing assignment; new travelers will not be considered
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills required

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual patient assessments
• Assess and address safety concerns, including safe use of lifts and patient mobility techniques
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well under stressful situations
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively
• May be required to assume charge nurse duties
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
