American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring compact or PA RN license, EPIC experience, and community hospital background.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a community hospital setting
• Care for antepartum, labor and delivery, LDRP, mother/baby, and low-risk newborn patients
• Facility performs fewer than 100 births per month
• 1:4 patient ratio
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Blocked schedule option available

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or PA) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, EFM, and IUPC placement/calibration
• Experience with high-risk OB conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and VBAC management
• Competent in postpartum care including hemorrhage management and cesarean recovery
• Skilled in neonatal resuscitation and newborn assessment

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum monitoring, delivery assistance, and postpartum recovery
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation, and recovery care
• Perform newborn care including APGAR scoring, cord care, and discharge teaching
• Manage high-risk OB conditions and complications such as hemorrhage, preterm labor, and multiple gestation
• May care for COVID-positive patients
• Candidates are pre-screened by clinical team for fit before manager interview
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Local candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a different rate
• Travel pairs may be submitted together, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
• First-time travelers may be considered given required experience is met
