American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Johnstown, PA, requiring open heart call availability and a valid PA or compact RN license.

Details

• Works in a 22-bed Operating Room department at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Patient population spans all ages across a broad range of surgical specialties including Ortho, Gyne, OB, Plastics, General, Cardiovascular, Neuro, Urology, Breast, and Podiatry
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, with varied off-shifts that may include 9–5, 11–7, 1–9, 3–11, and weekend daylight hours
• Weekend hours required every other weekend or as needed
• On-call required one to two times per week in 8-hour increments, including weekday and weekend open heart call
• Floating to the main OR required as needed
• EMR: Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and CPI/HWC
• Minimum 1–2 years of OR nursing experience
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates and consideration
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time

Additional Information

• Preferred experience includes charge RN experience, Level 1 trauma, and robotic surgical experience
• All Pennsylvania state clearances are required prior to start, including: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police (PATCH) clearance, Department of Human Services fingerprinting, and FBI Department of Aging fingerprinting (must have been completed within the last two years)
• Blue scrubs are required and will be provided by the facility; casual wear is not permitted
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
