Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a day shift travel contract at a 50-bed acute rehabilitation hospital in Dallas, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital (IRF) setting with 50 beds on a single-floor unit
• Patient population includes individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injuries
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Equipment includes IV pumps, EKG machines, bariatric beds, and medication dispensing systems
• EMR: Cerner and Epic
• Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required, including BLS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Rehab and/or med-surg nursing experience
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides specialized inpatient rehabilitation nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, amputation, major surgeries, and other complex conditions
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills are a plus for this role
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
