American Traveler is hiring an RN PICC specialist for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2 years of vascular access experience and a KS or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Comprehensive Vascular Access unit of a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment with night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• Inserts peripherally placed central venous catheters, central lines, mid-lines, and peripheral I.V. catheters
• Serves as a resource for vascular access device products and procedures
• Uses Cerner OneChart EHR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (KS or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition throughout catheter insertion and maintenance
• Evaluate intervention outcomes and patient goals to guide reassessment and discharge planning
• Provide education to staff, patients, and families on care of peripherally inserted catheters, midlines, central lines, and peripheral I.V.s
• Ceil blue scrubs required
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply affecting pay rate
