American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down/PCU position requiring at least 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry experience and travel nursing experience.

Details

• Med Surg/Step Down unit (7W) within an acute care hospital setting
• Patient placement will be on the unit of greatest need, either PCU or Med/Surg/Tele, based on the traveler's skills
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Every other holiday (EOH) required
• Floating required within skill set, both onsite and to other sites within 40 miles
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills assessment required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Copy of current certifications and license verification/Nursys required for consideration
• Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Both M/S and Step Down RN backgrounds are accepted, as credentialing requirements are the same for both
• Local candidates are accepted; however, a reduced pay rate may apply depending on proximity to the facility — contact your recruiter for details
• Nursys license verification must be completed within 30 days prior to assignment start
