American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatric OR RN for a 12-week travel contract at a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma facility, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Pediatric surgical unit (Peds Surgery) within a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma facility
• Facility has 14 ORs and 2 procedure rooms
• Charting is performed in Cerner
• Day shift: 06:30–19:00
• Schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required (both must be AHA-issued)
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Pediatric surgical experience strongly preferred given the patient population
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver's License copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating and scrub nurse duties, covering patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Circulating duties include monitoring patient status and maintaining accurate EHR documentation in Cerner
• Scrub duties include maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and directly assisting surgeons
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows and high-quality clinical outcomes
