American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Behavioral Health (Psychiatric) Unit position in Rochester, NH, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a valid NH or compact RN license.

Details

• 10-bed Behavioral Health (Psychiatric) unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 3:1
• Unit team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, a Recreational Therapist, and a Social Worker
• Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Alternating weekend schedule required
• Occasional floating may be required in a helper role capacity
• Equipment used includes mechanical lifts and Sara Steady

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment)
• CPI certification required; SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in behavioral health or a psychiatric setting
• Psychiatric background required; geriatric experience preferred
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• One professional reference required

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• The unit features multiple staff members with 5+ years of tenure and psychiatric experience
• A Recreational Therapist is on staff to support daily therapeutic groups
• A Social Worker is on staff to assist with discharge planning
• Unit is described as family-oriented and highly supportive
• Scrubs of any color are required
• 12-week travel contract
