American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital, requiring prior travel experience and Epic EMR proficiency on night shifts.

Details

• Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting with 66 staffed beds
• MS/Tele unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM start)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Floating may be required within the hospital or to a sister campus depending on booking
• Epic EMR used; experience required

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required; pending licensure not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must pass an Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance prior to start
• Core skills required: IV therapy, phlebotomy, central/peripheral line care, blood product administration, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, heparin protocols, isolation precautions/PPE, and wound care
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrub color: royal blue and white
• Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 4–10 hours)
• RTO is capped at 4 days per contract; only one holiday can be approved
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous employees of this health system must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice (3 contracts total), after which a 6-month waiting period applies before returning
• Background or license hits that occurred within the past year will not be approved
