American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Stepdown Telemetry position at a comprehensive stroke center and Level II Trauma facility, requiring at least 1 year of experience and Epic charting skills.

Details

• 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry unit
• Comprehensive stroke center, Level II Trauma, and Chest Pain Accredited facility with the capacity to care for PCI and open-heart surgery patients
• Patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• No travel pairs or groups accepted

Requirements

• Active Idaho or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency in IV therapy and phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with cardiac and vasoactive drip management (non-titration)
• Experience with non-invasive airway management and respiratory care
• Familiarity with rapid response and code team protocols
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Onboarding modules are completed onsite during orientation and average 4–6 hours for RNs
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
