American Traveler is hiring a Speech Therapist for a 13-week Long-Term Care/SNF travel assignment in Hawaii, requiring a minimum of 2 years of SNF/ICF experience and an active Hawaii state license.

Details

• Work setting is a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and/or Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) in a long-term care environment
• Rehabilitation therapy department serving a veteran resident population
• Day shift with a 5-day work week; departmental coverage spans 7 days per week, likely including one weekend day
• Floating to other units or facilities may be required based on census and staffing needs
• EMR systems used: Net Health Rehab Optima and Epic

Requirements

• Active State of Hawaii (HI) SLP license in good standing required by start of assignment
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an SNF/ICF setting preferred
• Candidates must be available to work Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as needed

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing evaluations, reassessments, treatments, and other clinical services consistent with licensure and scope of practice
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions targeting communication, swallowing, function, and quality of life
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and patient progress
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility, state, federal, and payer requirements
• May supervise therapy assistants as applicable to role
• Orientation provided covering the rehabilitation department, EMR documentation, and facility workflows
• Candidates must plan to arrive the Thursday prior to the assignment start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday
