American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Boston, MA, requiring prior travel experience and strong independent telemetry interpretation skills.

Details

• Acute Medical Surgical unit (Menino 6 East) in a hospital setting
• 36-bed unit with a patient ratio of generally 1:4 or 1:5
• PM/Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of acute care Med/Surg experience required
• Prior travel/agency nursing experience required
• Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Must pass a telemetry test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or better
• Two professional references required: at least one must be at the manager level or above (listed as "Manager") and include a performance evaluation; one reference must be within the last 12 months and the other within the last 3 years; references from other travelers are not accepted
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B) prior to submission — the test may only be taken twice
• Commitment to multidisciplinary team communication and patient safety is expected
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
