American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring an active MI RN license and 2-3 years of OR experience.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment with Day shift schedule (3x12 Hours, 7:00-19:30)
• Required to work 1 weekend (8-hour shifts) every 4-week schedule
• On-call responsibilities as needed with a 30-minute response time, to be discussed during interview
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Travelers are prioritized for floating assignments

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• 2-3 years of Operating Room experience required
• Level 1 trauma center experience preferred
• Experience with highly specialized cases such as vascular, neuro, and robotics preferred
• Scrub experience in any OR specialty preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Supervisor-level references required
• Proof of flu vaccination required for consideration

• Circulate as part of core OR responsibilities
• Seeking well-rounded team members comfortable across various OR specialties
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility accepted at local rate
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests submitted afterward require manager discussion, with no more than 10 days of RTO permitted
• Holiday time off requests are not guaranteed as holiday coverage is typically required
• Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
