American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Wound Care Center position in Elizabethtown, KY, working Monday–Friday day shifts in a specialized outpatient wound care setting.

Details

• Outpatient Wound Care Center setting dedicated to the treatment and prevention of acute and chronic wounds
• Services include traditional wound care, bioengineered skin substitutes, wound vacuum systems, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
• 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Proficiency in wound care procedures, IV therapy, and medication administration
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and patient/family education
• MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Implements evidence-based nursing practice using all four phases of the nursing process with clinical autonomy
• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, and coordination of admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Provides patient and family education tailored to culture, age, and developmental level
• Delegates tasks appropriately and monitors team members' performance of delegated care activities
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction
