American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Brunswick, ME, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and active ME or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 23-bed Emergency Department at an acute care hospital in Brunswick, ME
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Patient ratios of 4 to 6 patients per nurse
• Every other weekend may be required
• No on-call requirements
• Float policy requires travel up to 25 miles between facilities as needed
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active ME or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required; 4–5 years preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI (or MOAB), and NIHSS — CPI or MOAB must be in hand prior to start
• Non-AHA certifications accepted for consideration, but AHA-equivalent certification must be obtained before start date
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Charge nurse experience is a plus
• Scrub color has no requirements
• Personal electronic devices, including AirPods, laptops, and cell phones, are prohibited on the unit
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this when applying
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (including residents of Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and subject to a different pay rate
• Local candidates are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• RTO should be kept to a minimum; a reasonable amount is 3–4 days for a 13-week contract, subject to manager discretion
