American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience, a CT or compact RN license, and availability for call coverage.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Suite of a short-term acute care hospital with two cath labs
• Cath lab operates Monday through Friday 7am-5:15pm and is available for emergency cardiac procedures 24/7
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral catheterizations including stent implants, IABP, Impella, EKOS, Rotablator, IVUS, FFR, Penumbra, Pericardiocentesis, Shockwave, and IVC filters
• Perform TEEs, cardioversions, TAVRs, and MitraClips in conjunction with the hybrid OR
• Care for adult patients with Coronary Artery Disease, Myocardial Infarction, Unstable Angina, Aortic/Mitral Valve Disease, and Peripheral Vascular Disease
• Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00am-5:30pm with a 30-minute break
• Call required 6-9 days per month, including weekday call from 5:15pm-7am and 24-hour weekend call
• Floating to Milford Campus required as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
• Cardiac cath lab procedure skills required including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, and left/right heart catheterization
• Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Skilled in circulating procedures, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and monitoring procedural sedation
• Experience with IV therapy including starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience administering and monitoring procedural sedation medications
• Epic charting experience preferred
• 1 professional reference required
