American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a day shift position requiring cardiovascular OR experience, including robotic cardiac procedures, and a CA RN license in hand.

Details

• CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• On-call requirements include 2 weekend standby shifts (24 hrs each) and 5 weekday call shifts per month, beginning at the end of your scheduled shift
• Epic EMR used throughout all units
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license (Temp or Perm) required; must be in hand at time of consideration — no EMSA licenses accepted
• Current BLS certification required (AHA-issued only)
• Minimum 1.5 years of continuous CVOR experience required
• Experience with robotic cardiac procedures required
• General OR experience required
• Epic EMR experience required within the last 6 months of work history; combined Epic/Cerner experience also accepted
• At least 1 year of total travel nursing experience required, with a minimum of 6 continuous months of travel experience immediately preceding consideration — no gaps in travel experience exceeding 2–3 weeks permitted
• 1 supervisory-level professional reference required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible

Additional Information

• Interview availability is required, including time zone availability for same-day and next 3 business day scheduling
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO allowed; no new RTO requests accepted after consideration
• Candidates who have previously worked at this health system must wait at least 1 year before returning
• International travelers must have at least 1 year of recent, current U.S.-based nursing experience
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
