American Traveler is hiring a travel LPN for a Heart and Vascular Institute cardiology clinic, requiring clinic experience, Epic proficiency, and a cardiology background.

Details

• Outpatient cardiology clinic setting within a Heart and Vascular Institute
• Patient population includes General Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Vascular Surgery cases
• Caseload of up to 22 patients per day
• Uses Epic EMR (required)
• Scheduled for 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• No weekend rotation and no on-call requirements
• Floating limited to within the cardiology clinic only
• 2 out of 4 holidays required, with the day after Thanksgiving counted as a holiday

Requirements

• Current LPN license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of clinic experience required
• Cardiology experience highly preferred
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Current BLS certification required
• Completion of a board-approved nursing education program
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify
• Two professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Unit support team includes an EKG tech, 3 Clinical Assistants (1 per 10 rooms), a Lead RN, and a Nursing Manager
• Orientation includes facility-wide onboarding per protocol followed by 3–4 days of side-by-side training on the unit
• First-time travelers are welcome, with a preference for those who have some clinic experience
• Former permanent staff must wait a full year before returning as a traveler
• Navy blue scrubs required

• Time off requests are preferred to be applied toward a contract extension rather than taken within the 13-week contract period
