Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care / IMCU position on night shift requiring 2 years of high-acuity trauma center experience and ACLS certification.

Details

• IMCU unit with 16-10 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, and encephalopathy
• Administers heparin drips
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling not approved for most units
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospitals required
• Proven experience managing critical, fast-paced cases in large-scale trauma environments required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

Additional Information

• Work within a Level 1 trauma center handling complex and high-acuity cases
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as the travel rate
