American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Post-Acute Long-Term Care (LTC) position in Maine, working night shifts across specialized units including Alzheimer's/dementia care, transitional rehabilitation, and long-term care.

• Post-acute long-term care setting within a regional medical center in Maine
• Three potential unit assignments: a 31-bed Alzheimer's/dementia specialized unit (3 East), a 42-bed transitional rehabilitation unit (2nd floor), and a 42-bed long-term care unit (3 West)
• Alzheimer's and dementia unit focuses on verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and behavior-informed care
• Transitional rehabilitation unit serves patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other short-term conditions
• Nursing services may include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract
• Floating to other units required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Maine or a valid Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
• Flexibility to support 24/7 coverage operations
• Clean licensure history required — candidates with licensure hits will not be considered

• Provide direct and indirect care in partnership with residents and other care providers to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
• Alzheimer's/dementia unit care requires understanding of behavioral communication unique to this population
• Previous employees of this facility are not eligible for this position
• Medical terminology knowledge is preferred
