American Traveler is hiring a Neuro OR Circulating RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring at least one year of neuro OR circulating experience and a KY or compact RN license

Details

• Work in the Surgical Services department of a 295-bed acute care hospital with an advanced neurosurgery and Spine Center accredited program
• Circulate in one of 3 dedicated neuro operating rooms
• Patient population ranges from 16 years to end of life with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Cases include cranial, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar procedures, with pain pump and SCS cases preferred
• Utilizes specialized equipment including Jackson bed, Mazor robot, Stealth Navigation, Stryker Navigation, Levo head positioner, and HALO positioner
• Uses Meditech Magic EHR for documentation
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM with flexibility for flip room pattern (6:30 or 8:00 AM start)
• Required to float to general operating rooms when neuro cases are not scheduled
• Weekend on-call required at least two first weekends (24 hours) and every third weekend, with 30-minute response time for Saturday 7am to Monday 7am on-call coverage

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
• ADN required
• AHA certifications required
• Minimum one year of neuro OR circulating experience required
• Basic circulating knowledge with a neuro specialty required
• Meditech documentation experience required
• Experience with Jackson bed, Mazor robot, and Stealth Navigation required
• Must be accountable, dependable, self-sufficient, and an effective patient advocate
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Serve as circulating RN supporting three dedicated neuro surgeons
• Facility provides scrubs in seal blue
• Facility is not designated as a Trauma Level facility
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate; local rate available for closer candidates
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
