American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 32-bed Surgical ACE unit at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring documented med/tele experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Details

• Work on a 32-bed Surgical ACE unit (5A) serving an adult and older adult patient population
• Patient assignment ratio of 1:5
• Trauma patients, Heparin drips, and all acute medications as ordered
• Specialty equipment includes gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment
• Epic EMR is used on this unit
• Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Documented Med/Surg Telemetry experience required, with a completed skills checklist
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and severe cases required
• Experience managing critical, fast-paced trauma situations required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• This facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex, challenging, and diverse cases
• Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals is not sufficient for this role
• Prior Skilled Nursing, Rehab, or NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) training is a plus
• No RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this contract
