American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU/Surgical Recovery position requiring Epic EMR experience and current CA RN licensure for a day shift contract.

Details

• Surgical Recovery (PACU) unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift position; department hours are 6:00 AM–9:00 PM with varying start times
• 40 hours per week on 8-hour shifts
• Epic EMR is used; experience is required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license, unrestricted and currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), and PALS (American Heart Association)
• IV Sedation competency required within 6 months of hire
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience required, with experience in the specialty within the last 3 months
• Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active, unrestricted license with no prior hits (disciplinary actions) on record
• 2 supervisory references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years
• A completed specialty-specific skills checklist from within the past year is required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides perioperative nursing care to patients across the lifespan in the surgical recovery setting
• Collaborates with physicians and the broader care team to coordinate individualized patient care
• Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
• BSN is preferred but not required
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
