American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Lead for a Med/Surg Acute unit, requiring Epic EMR experience and supervisory skills for a day shift position in California.

Details

• Position is based in a 221-bed acute care hospital on the Med/Surg Acute unit
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Epic EMR experience is required for this position

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS (American Heart Association) required
• ACLS (American Heart Association) required
• PALS (American Heart Association) required
• Active, unrestricted license with no prior hits on record
• Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required
• BSN required; MSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience, with clinical work performed within the last 3 months
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two supervisory references required: one from the past year and one from within the past two years
• Date of Birth, Phone Number, Social Security Number, and full contact information required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides unit-based leadership working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff
• Supervises and directs nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory judgment
• Responsible for rounding on patients, initiating and revising care plans, and resolving patient care and operational issues
• Fosters a patient- and family-centered care environment with attention to cultural diversity
• Works to improve customer satisfaction for patients, families, and physicians
• RTO is capped at 5 days — requests exceeding this threshold will result in automatic disqualification
• Clinical specialty or nursing administration certification is preferred
