American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity Stepdown Unit (SDU) position in New Jersey, requiring a minimum of 1 year of ICU experience and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• High-acuity Stepdown Unit (SDU) in a hospital setting
• PM shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• 13-week contract
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required as needed
• On-call is required for this position
• Epic EMR is used for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (or compact license) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform thorough, systematic patient assessments across the care continuum from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Provide direct patient care and demonstrate competency with emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain complete and accurate nursing documentation in accordance with established guidelines
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification
• Travelers who have been on assignment for one full calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before beginning a new assignment at this facility
• Background check and drug screen are required prior to start; candidates should expect at least 2 weeks for results
